Muqatta'at Letters
In Lesson 3, We will recite letters separately in a word. These letters are the special letters that appear at the beginning of some Surahs of the Quran. These are also called Huroof e Muqatta'at or Muqatta'at Letters. There are certain tajweed rules applied on these letters while pronouncing which are explained in coming lessons.
Example:
الم: read it as “الف لام میم” (Alif Laam Meem).
المص: read it as “الف لام میم صاد” (Alif Laam meem Saad).
المر: read it as “الف لام میم را” (Alif Laam Meem Raa).
